Maximilian Edmund Featherstone is a noted anthropologist and field researcher, recognised for his lifelong commitment to site-based behavioural observation and urban ecological study.
He attended Oxford and later taught at the London School of Economics, before establishing The Featherstone Institute in 1989 to pursue unaffiliated, long-form fieldwork on his own terms.
Featherstone has remained a largely private academic figure, favouring quiet accumulation over institutional acclaim. His work focuses on classification systems, ritual mapping, executive mimicry, and cultural camouflage across financial, governmental, and interpersonal environments.
Accolades include:
A formal Field Guide and archival recordings are expected to release in Q4 2025 or perhaps Q1 2026 — a culmination of a lifetime of work, respect, and knowledge.
